Introducing the After Capitalism website
A place for all things “After Capitalism.” A key reason is to promote the book. The publisher is reviewing and editing. I’m hopeful for a Fall publication date. At any rate, I envision After Capitalism as a project I’ll keep alive beyond the book. It’s already been a little over 10 years – why not another?
The book seeks to establish useful images of the future after capitalism. That is just the beginning. Next is how to get there. In Houston Foresight parlance, the images are the mapping part of foresight work, and the influencing part is building pathways to get there.
The key component of the site — beyond the obvious book promotion — is called “Monitoring the Shift.” The shift, of course, being to After Capitalism. It is organized into six categories.
- Blog: I plan to continue regular blogging – the library is currently at 125 posts
- Reviews: My pile of relevant books keeps getting higher!
- Media: I will post upcoming events as well as videos or reviews of previous talks, interviews, and articles.
- Annotated bibliography: It is still being updated but will eventually include works, mostly books, consulted over the course of the research.
- Real-time Delphi: This gives readers the opportunity to share their views on the likelihood, consequences, and institutional factors influencing the three images of After Capitalism.
- Twitter: My updated Twitter feed (includes some non-After Capitalism items as well)

Aren’t you lovely for asking that question 🙂 Thank you! But, not yet. Working. Actually I am working my way through publisher revisions as we speak, so hoping for Fall if all goes well.
