APF’s has just launched the nominations phase of the 2018 Most Significant Futures Works program! This is our opportunity to recognize the outstanding foresight work within and outside of the APF community. Only APF members can nominate, so if you’re not an APF member, see if you can persuade one to put forth your suggestion. [Of course, we’d be even happier if you joined].
The program has been running for 10 years now. It provides examples of excellent foresight work that we can share with the public or potential clients. We are building an amazing library of great futures works!
Works are nominated in three categories:
- Category 1 Advance the methodology and practice of foresight and futures studies
- Category 2 Analyze a significant future issue
- Category 3 Illuminate the future through literary or artistic works.
The “window” for nominations is works published between January 1, 2016—2018.
Nominating is simple [again, must be submitted by an APF member] In a nutshell, you can shoot me an email (ahines@uh.edu) with your nomination, which includes: Title; author; format; date; publisher; category; nominating member; why you think it’s important (no more than 300 words).
Here is an example from a previous year.
